Admission

Admission to the school is by invitation only. Please read the Student Information before observing your first class. This document should answer most questions, including those relating to class details and fees.

We generally do not accept students who are under 18 years of age.

基本的に１８歳未満の方は受け付けておりません。

Training

Training in Katori Shinto Ryu consists of Kata, which are pre-arranged forms containing the philosophy, strategy, tactics, and techniques of the style. Kata practice not only is physically demanding but also requires mental strength, sustained concentration, and deep introspection.

Classes are rigorous, but students are encouraged to practice at their own pace and at an intensity with which they feel comfortable. The school supports a non-competitive, cooperative, and friendly environment.

稽古内容

型を通して流儀の哲学、策略、戦術、技術等を学びます。型の稽古は心身を鍛え、集中力と深い内省を必要とします。

稽古は心技体の鍛錬を目指し真剣に行われますが、参加者は自分のペースで稽古することに重きをおいています。競争することが目的ではなく、皆が協力し互いに成長できる環境を目指しております。
